    MapleStory Archer Guide

Intro: Ok! This is my first guide and I have gotten complaints of when
Iam gonna finish it already! (I am good ^^? I am in high school so I d
not always online with all the hmwk. I play on OMS so plz contact me
by other means (listed @ bottom)

Version History: Grrr?I hate this part?it always keeps me from the
juicy parts of everything. I am sure you all hate it too so I am gonna
whiz by here. V1: Levels 1-30 (1st job Adv. Skill set, training
grounds and how to save money: Done)
V2: Levels 31-70 (2nd job Adv. Skill set, training grounds and how to
save money: Done)To go to the desired section quickly, CTRL + F and
    find either V1 or V2.

ONLY and ONLY www.hidden-street.net may post this information. If I
see this guide anywhere else, I will sue your ass off!

    V1
First off, Archer's are one of the most powerful classes but only if
    you raise it well.
This skill set (beneath) works very effectively.

    Lv10: 1 Arrow Blow
Lv11: 3 The Blessing Of The Amazon
Lv12: 1 Critical Shot, 2 The Eye Of The Amazon
Lv13: 1 Critical Shot, 2 The Eye Of The Amazon
Lv14: 1 Critical Shot, 2 The Eye Of The Amazon
Lv15: 1 Critical Shot, 2 The Eye Of The Amazon
Lv16: 1 Critical shot, 1 Double Shot, 1 Attack Skill of your
    preference.

I'm going to interupt myself here. So you may be wondering "Which
    attack should I choose?"

It really doesn't matter because later on, you'll be maxing Final
Attack and Bow/Crossbow Mastery from your hunter or crossbowman job
advancement which will increase your Minimum Damage. Double Shot and
Arrow Blow have the exact same attack as each other and the same
    number of advantages/disadvantages.

Attack Advantages/Disadvantages when maxed (keep in mind that the
    damage will be the same)
    Arrow Blow:
Advantages: Uses only 14 MP, Uses only 1 arrow, Higher chance of
enough attack knock back Disadvantages: Chance of a weaker attack will
be higher, Doesn't work with the Arrow/Star Glitch

    Double Shot:
Advantages: Higher attack power (2 arrows each having critical shot
applied), Works with the Arrow/Star Glitch Disadvantages: Uses 16 MP,
Uses 2 arrows, Lower chance of enough attack to knock back

You may be wondering now "What's the Arrow/Star Glitch?"

    The Arrow/Star Glitch
This is applied when you have only 1 powerful star/arrow (ex:
Ilbis/Steel Arrow) and only normal stars/arrows in the use slot behind
them. If you use Lucky Seven/Double Shot, you will throw/shoot the
next type of star/arrow(in this case lets say Subi and normal arrows)
but the attack of that basic item will be the same as the advanced
    item.
Don't understand? (using stars as an example for clearer difference)
Ilbi attack is 27. Subi attack is 15. If you only have 1 Ilbi left and
500 Subi and then choose to use Lucky Seven, you will throw Subi but
the attack of the Ilbi star will be copied by the Subi since it was supposed to be the original item used in Lucky Seven.

Right. Back to the Skill Set (sorry... kind of went on a rant there
    didn't I? ^^")

    Lv17: 3 Critical Shot
    Lv18: 3 Critical Shot
    Lv19: 3 Critical Shot
    Lv20: 3 Critical Shot
    Lv21: 3 Critical Shot
Lv22: 3 (the attack skill you chose to level to level 2 when you were
    at level 16)
Lv23: 3 (the attack skill you chose to level to level 2 when you were
    at level 16)
Lv24: 2 (the attack skill you chose to level to level 2 when you were
    at level 16), Save 1
Lv25: 4 (the attack skill you chose to level to level 2 when you were
    at level 16)
Lv26: 3 (the attack skill you chose to level to level 2 when you were
    at level 16)
Lv27: 3 (the attack skill you chose to level to level 2 when you were at
level 16) [Should be maxed by now]
Lv28: 3 (the other attack skill)
Lv29: 3 (the other attack skill)
Lv30: 3 (the other attack skill)

I haven't reached the second job advancement to know enough about it
to start preaching about the skill set. So I'll finish with Training
areas and how to contact me if you wish to comment

    Training areas
Levels 1-10: Maple Island. Get your STR to 20 right off the bat for
extra HP boost while leveling and for an easier time killing with
melee weaponry. The rest of the points put into DEX
Levels 11-15: Victoria Island: Hidden Street: Mushroom Garden (see
    http://www.hidden-street.net/maps/vihenesys.php#ahillwestofhenesys and
look for Mushroom Garden link) using a 2 handed melee weapon (I used a
    wooden mallet) [it's fun to Whack-a-Shroom ^^"]
Levels 16-24: Victoria Island. No specific place. You can train on
Green Mushrooms if you've followed the skill set above. Other wise,
    use octopus.
Levels 24-30: PQ until you have Green Bamboo Hat and any other
    equipment you might want/need.

    Saving Money:
To save money on Arrows and Equipment, stick to melee weapons until
level 15 when the DEX differnce should pay off. DO NOT, I repeat, DO
NOT buy the Hunter's Bow (level 20 equipment). Instead, make it using
30 Processed Woods and 50 Red Snail Shells and 3k. While your training
from level 16-24, if you train on Green Mushroom, hope that you will
get a Green Bennis Chainmail with +3 DEX and Average Stats otherwise.
If you choose to, you could train on Stumps from level 11-15 instead
of orange mushrooms at The Tree that Grew III (avoiding the Green
Mushroom at the top levels) to reduce the damage you would normally
get and hope for an above average Composite Bow.

    NEWLY ADDED!!!

    3RD JOB ADV!! ('bout time...)

You will have 1 point left over after the 3rd job adv when it comes
out so u can do whatever you want with that 1 point. Hell u could put
it into focus as a joke.
Training Grounds:To be honest I have no clue, just go around killing
monsters and see your average dmg, then go to www.hidden-street.net to
find the monster that has the hp = to your average dmg. Efficient
training is 1 or 2 hit kill. I suggest going for the 2 hit kill just
because archers are one of the harder characters to 1 hit kill with
    until stronger skills.
Saving Money: Archers can have the ultimate equipment since EVERYTHING
can be upgraded with DEX scrolls. You'll want to buy scrolls to
upgrade but to save money this isn't the smartest thing to do. Your
best bet is to kill things that drop archer equipment COMMONLY. aka.
don't go atking stuff hoping to get something that is really rare...
kinda like panlid hunting. Kill Lupins or Star Pixies ASAP for Dark
Hunter Sets and hope you get above average stats
