0.1 About me
==========
I'm a level 50 crossbowman, but because i'm totally addicted to MapleStory i
know very much about MapleStory, especially bowmen.
I've read many other guides, but i didnt steal their texts. I know very much
about scrolling, selling prices, and many other Maple stuff.

1.0 What to do as a beginner?
======================
Well, what to do as a beginner? They're sooo weak.
First, choose te good stats. The best stats in the beginning are:
DEX: **
STR: **
LUK: 4/5
INT: 4/5
Choose for the club, not the axe or sword, cuz the club's att is 17, and the
sword or axe's att is 15.
The other equips doesn't really matter. I prefer for orange hair, because u
will get nicer hair in the Amoria hair quest. Of course, choose a cool name.
What to do in Maple island?
Just train in Maple island and stay there until u r lvl 10. Do all quests, don
't forget any quest of maple island.
I should train at al kinda snails, and shrooms.
Once u r lvl 10, go to Southperry, and walk to the far right, until u find Sha
nks.
Pay him 150 mesos (u can get this by the monster-dropped mesos, or sell ur
equips).
Now u r in Lith Harbor. U need to have 80 mesos more.
Talk to a guy called Phil, and choose 'Please take me to somewhere else', and
choose Henesys. Click 'Yes' and u r in Henesys.
Do all quests which are available. They will give u good exp, and some will
give u good items.
To get a new hairstyle, do the hair quest (called 'Amoria: Beauty or Beast!'),
give Claudia 25 squishy liquids (from slimes), and hope u will get a good hair
style.
Finished all quests? Good job! Now train at monsters. (look at 1.2 Training
beginner to see where to go).

1.1 SP/AP Beginner
===============
What to put up and what not to put up? Read this to know what u have to do
(the noted AP is minimum):
Level 1: 1sp nimble feet, 10 DEX, 5 STR
Level 2: 1sp nimble feet, 15 DEX, 5 STR
Level 3: 1sp nimble feet, 19 DEX, 6 STR (maxed nimble feet)
Level 4: 1sp recovery, 22 DEX, 8 STR
Level 5: 1sp recovery, 25 DEX, 10 STR
Level 6: 1sp recovery, 30 DEX, 10 STR (maxed recovery)
Level 7: 0sp, 35 DEX, 10 STR
Level 8: 0sp, 36 DEX, 14 STR
Level 9: 0sp, 40 DEX, 15 STR
Level 10: 0sp, 45 DEX, 15 STR
Level 10:

1.2 Training beginner
===============
You are a beginner, and you don't know where to train? Read this:
Level 1-5: Snails and Blue snails
Level 6-8: Snails, Blue snails, Red snails, Shrooms
Level 9-10: Red snails, Shrooms, Orange Mushrooms

2.0 Becoming an archer
=================
When u r lvl 10, go to a portal with 'Mushroom Park' (Henesys). Walk to the s
tatue of a horse with o boy on it, and press up. This is a shortcut portal.
Walk to the right, and u'll see a house. Go in, and talk to Athena Pierce. Btw
, u need at least 25 DEX. Accept everything she says, and u r an archer. Gratz
Well, it's time to get some bowman clothes. Use a return scroll to nearest
town or Henesys, or walk to the left and go through the portal.
Walk some to the left, and go through the portal with 'Market Place'. Walk to
the right until u see a portal with a sword or some weapons on a sign near it.
Go in. Now talk to the NPC u see, and he will show u some items to buy. Here u
see what to buy and what not to buy:
Level 10: Don't buy a war bow. If u really wanna see how it works to have a
bow, buy it. (3k mesos)
Level 12: Buy a 'Crossbow'. This is not because u r gonna b a xbowman, but cuz
it is much better than a war bow. (4k mesos)
Level 15: Buy a 'Composite bow' (6k mesos) It is a bow, but it does no matter.
Level 18: Buy a 'Battle Crossbow' (8k mesos) It is a good crossbow.
Level 20: Don't buy a 'Hunters bow' If u really want it, and u r rich, buy it.
(10k mesos)
Level 22: Buy a 'Balanche' (12k mesos) This is a rly cheap crossbow.
Level 25: Don't buy a 'Battle bow' U can already do a battle.(rofl)(20k mesos)
Level 28: Buy a 'Mountain crossbow' (30k mesos) It looks ugly, but its a very
good crossbow. If u r rich, more information is shown below.
Level 30: Don't buy a 'Ryden' (only FM) Its not needed to buy this, because
its a lvl 30 bow, and at lvl 30 u r gonna b a crossbowman.
Don't buy any of the other weapons.
Information Mountain Crossbow:
Buy this crossbow, and go get 490k mesos (only if u r rich). Go to El Moth
(Ellinia: The tree that grew III), and buy a 'Scroll for Crossbow for ATT'(7x)
Use these scrolls on the mountain crossbow, and u'll see the attack will be 44
+ 7 = 51. Much better.
Of course, u need some bowman clothing. The clothes from lvl 10-40 are availa
ble to buy in shops.
Some colors has different stats. The best of those are not available to buy in
shops, only at FM. You should never buy the color which adds STR, always DEX.

2.1 SP/AP archer

Here is how to put ur SP and AP:

Level 11: 2sp critical shot, 1sp double shot, 49 DEX, 16 STR
Level 12: 3sp critical shot, 53 DEX, 17 STR

Level 14: 3sp critical shot, 61 DEX, 19 STR
Level 15: 3sp critical shot, 65 DEX, 20 STR

2.2 Training archer
==============
Here is where to train if u r an archer:
Level 10-12 Snails/slimes (henesys hunting ground)
Level 13-16 Slimes (slime tree, ellinia)
Level 17-23 Orange or green mushrooms (henesys hunting ground)
Level 24-30 Kerning city party quest (PQ)

3.0 Becoming a crossbowman
======================
Well, u have done all above this, and u r level 30. Now u r gonna be a
crossbowman.
What u have to do, is:
1. Get at least 25 white potions and 30 mana elixirs
2. Talk to Athena Pierce, in henesys
3. Talk to Bowman job instructor, Henesys dungeon entrance
4. Talk to her again if u r ready.
5. She will send u to a cave, with evil eyes and horny mushrooms.
6. Kill these monsters and collect 30 Dark marbles. Use the potions u bought
when u need to.
7. Talk to the Bowman job instructor once again.
8. Talk to Athena Pierce, Henesys.
9. If u wanna be the crossbowman, click 'I want to choose my obsession',
and click crossbowman.
10. Gratz! U r a crossbowman now. She gave u 1SP for present. Put this on Iron
Arrow.
Once again, always buy the clothes which adds DEX.
Some usefull tips are shown below:
1. If many monsters are next to each other, stand next to the most-left or the
most-right monster, and use iron arrow
2. If all of ur arrows r used, dont be mad to get new arrows, but just use
Soul arrow (if u got that skill).
3. At monsters with ranged attacks, its good to use Crossbow booster, cuz u
can shoot like 2 or 3 more arrows to a monster
before it attacks you.
4. If many monsters are on one place, and u cant get a place to shoot
(the monsters are too close), use power knock-back.
5. Always use double shot, its more damage, and u hit the enemy twice. Its
better than Arrow blow.
6. Use Focus if u need to get more accuracy This is needed above lvl 50,
but it's good to get ur accuracy up.
7. Here is some information about clothing and scrolling:
Start scrolling ur armor when u r a crossbowman. I prefer to buy a sauna robe
and scroll it with overall DEX 10% scrolls.
If u r below level 38, don't scroll ur armor. If u really want to, use 100%
scrolls. The 60% or 10% must be saved for later.
If u r level 38, go buy a good heckler and scroll it with 60% crossbow ATT
scrolls. Do this 7 times. Hope 4 or more will work xD.
If u r level 50 or higher, do the quest in New leaf city (Lita lawless)
and u will get 1000 diamond arrows, for crossbow and bow (lvl 50+).
U can sell it to a hunter or ranger, for a high price (2k each arrow!).
I bought 1000 diamond crossbow arrows, from a hunter who didnt need them,
for some equips.
Everyone says 'wow u use diamond arrows' or 'wow u got rly good dmg', only if
u got diamond arrows.
Every crossbow u buy, scroll it with 60% Crossbow ATT (only lvl 38+), and if u
feel lucky, use a 10%.
But, i must warn u, if u use a 70% or a 30%, if it fails, there is a
fifty-fifty chance to destroy ur item (i used 70% crossbow att, it failed, and
i lost my heckler).
Glove scrolling is a rly good thing. Get some clean work gloves, buy 7x 60%
gloves att (around 2 mil each in bellocan), use them and hope u get good WG.
U can scroll ur regular bowmen gloves as well, but if u wanna sell it, only
bowmen r able to wear it.
I bought a scrolled Dark brace (lvl 40 bowman glove, +9 DEX, +2 Wep Att) for
only 200k o.o . (it's worth much more, like 6mil).
Many ppl (included me) buy green snowshoes, because they have 7 slots to
scroll, and cuz u dont slip at ice, and turn faster.
Always do a FA-less build cuz final attack is not worth to put sp on.

and the other on DEX)

3.2 Training crossbowman
===================
Here is where u have to train:
Level 30 Kerning city party quest (PQ)
Level 31-32 Zombie mushrooms, Horny mushrooms (ant tunnel I/II)
Level 33-34 Brown teddies (terrace hall, ludibrium)
Level 35-50 Ludibrium party quest (smuggle if possible, PQ)
Level 51-70 Orbis party quest (smuggle if possible, PQ)

4.0 Becoming sniper
===============
Here is what u have to do to become a sniper:
1. Talk to Rene (El nath, Chief residence)
2. Go to Orbis*, and take the ship to Victoria island.
3. Go to Henesys and talk to Athena Pierce.
4. Go to Sleepy dungeon IV and talk to the Door of dimension.
5. U'll be sent to another place, called 'Path of the glittering crystal'.
6. Walk to the right, get in the portal, go down and fight to Athena Pierce's
clone.
7. She does about 500 damage if u touch her, and 1k with the arrow.
8. If she summons tauromacis, take them down first before fighting the clone.
9. Once u have defeated the boss, pickup the Black charm, and talk to the NPC.
10. U'll be sent to Henesys, now talk to Athena Pierce, and trade the black
charm for a Necklace of strength.
11. Athena Pierce will tell u to go to Sharp cliff II (El Nath), and talk to
the stone NPC.
12. U need a refined dark crystal to answer 5 questions.
13. If u fail in 1 of the questions, u need to get the dark crystal again.
14. If u answer the 5 questions correctly, u'll get a Necklace of wisdom.
15. Talk to Rene once more.
16. U r a SNIPER! Gratz! She gave u 1SP as present. Put this on strafe.

4.1 SP/AP sniper
